1 / 1. A4 (B7 Platform) Discussion - Xenon headlight level sensor noise - Hi. My front left level sensor arms making crackling sound when they moving because of suspension. I searched on the internet for it if there are any videos where someone shows how to disassemble the arms from each other but no luck.

See pics, get this from Honda dealer, no need to buy the whole sensor assembly. Hope this helps, cheers Ricky. Price £27.00 inc VAT. Sensor about £270.00.
Also, as far as adjusting the aiming on the xenon lights - yes, you are supposed to do it with VCDS. Basically you hit the "reset" button (more or less) and it takes the auto-levling adjustment motors to the "Zero Position", and however the car is sitting at that very moment is relearned as "normal ride height".

Etc. Yes, throw a towel or sth. over the front windshield (rear-view mirror area) and lights should come on. You can also check your setting in MIB for sensor sensitivity (early, medium, late) if that makes any difference - I have mine set to late. The sensor itself is dead easy to access, remove, change..

The large square at the front of your interior rear view mirror is the camera for HBA, the smaller squares less than 1cm are at the front and back and this is to control the dimming function of the mirror itself - if the rear facing sensor has a higher light input compared to the front it will dim.
